The board may issue warrants drawn on the appropriate funds of the district to pay indebtedness of the district incurred in carrying out the works of reclamation and to raise money in anticipation of the collection of operation and maintenance assessment levies.
The board may draw demand warrants or time warrants, subject to the provisions of this part.
Demand warrants are warrants, drawn for any purpose, which are payable upon demand.
Time warrants are warrants, based upon an operation and maintenance assessment, payable at a specified future date expressed in the warrant.
The date of a warrant is the date inserted as such on the face of the warrant.
