Chapter 2. Definitions of California Water Code >> Division 26. >> Chapter 2.
Unless the context otherwise requires, the definitions set
forth in this chapter govern the construction of this division.
"Bay-delta" means the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San
Joaquin Delta Estuary.
"Board" means the State Water Resources Control Board.
"CALFED" refers to the consortium of state and federal
agencies with management and regulatory responsibilities in the
bay-delta that are developing a long-term solution to water
management, environmental, and other problems in the bay-delta
watershed.
"Clean Water Act" means the federal Clean Water Act (33
U.S.C. Sec. 1251 et seq.), and includes any amendments thereto.
"Committee" means the Safe Drinking Water, Clean Water,
Watershed Protection, and Flood Protection Finance Committee created
by Section 79212.
"Delta" means the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
"Department" means the Department of Water Resources.
"Fund" means the Safe Drinking Water, Clean Water, Watershed
Protection, and Flood Protection Bond Fund created by Section 79019.
