Article 7. San Lorenzo River Flood Control Program of California Water Code >> Division 26. >> Chapter 5. >> Article 7.

(a) There is hereby created in the account the San Lorenzo River Flood Control Subaccount.
  (b) For purposes of this article, "subaccount" means the San Lorenzo River Flood Control Subaccount created by subdivision (a).

The sum of two million dollars ($2,000,000) is hereby transferred from the account to the subaccount for the purposes of this article.

The money in the subaccount, upon appropriation by the Legislature to the department, shall be allocated by the department to the City of Santa Cruz to pay for the state's share of the costs of flood management projects authorized by the United States to improve the level of flood protection in the Santa Cruz region.
