. The county superintendent of schools may, with the approval of the county board of education, provide for the supervision of the attendance of pupils in school districts under his jurisdiction other than specified in Section 1740. The county superintendent of schools shall transfer from the funds of the district to the county school service fund an amount equal to the actual cost of providing for the supervision of attendance.
