Each candidate who seeks to qualify under Article 4
(commencing with Section 6060) and each group proposing an
uncommitted delegation shall appoint a steering committee of seven
members and shall appoint one of the members to serve as the
chairperson.
The chairperson of a steering committee, at least 82 days
prior to the presidential primary, shall file with the Secretary of
State a statement containing the names and addresses of the members
of the steering committee.
Each steering committee shall be responsible for the
circulation of nomination papers of candidates who seek to qualify
under Article 4 (commencing with Section 6060) and groups proposing
uncommitted delegations.
