In the absence of an express warranty, the mere sale of
livestock shall not be construed to imply a warranty of such
livestock for any particular purpose.
In the absence of any express warranty, the sale of
livestock for slaughter, whether the slaughter will be immediate or
otherwise, shall not imply a warranty of fitness for any particular
purpose or warranty of merchantable quality, notwithstanding the
provisions of subdivisions (1), (2), and (5) of Section 1735 of the
Civil Code.
