. Any violation of any provision of this division, or the regulations for its enforcement, is a misdemeanor. Unless a different penalty is specifically prescribed, it is punishable by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment in the county jail not less than 10 days nor more than 90 days, or by both.
