Every handler and producer-handler shall keep complete and
accurate records of all milk, skim milk, and cream in unprocessed
form which the handler or producer-handler purchases, or possession
or control of which he or she acquires from any producer or other
handler. A producer-handler shall include his or her own production
in these records. Every handler and producer-handler shall also keep
complete and accurate records by class usage of all milk, skim milk,
and cream which he or she utilizes for processing.
Such records shall be:
(a) In such form and contain such information, relevant to the
purposes of this chapter, as the director may, by order or
regulation, prescribe.
(b) Preserved for a period of two years.
(c) Open to inspection at any time on the request of the director.
The director may, by order or regulation require every such
handler and producer-handler to file with him returns which give the
information, or any part of the information, in the records, which
the first handlers are required to keep pursuant to this article. The
returns shall be on forms which are prescribed and furnished by the
director.
