. The commission shall consist of 11 members, as follows:
(a) Five members appointed by the Governor for terms of five
years, except that the terms of the original members shall be as
follows: one member shall be appointed for one year, one member for
two years, one member for three years, one member for four years, and
one member for five years. One such appointee shall be from a
commercial broadcast station.
(b) Two members appointed by the Speaker of the Assembly for terms
of four years, except that the terms of the original members shall
be as follows: one member shall be appointed for one year, and one
member for three years.
(c) Two members appointed by the Senate Committee on Rules for
terms of four years, except that the terms of the original members
shall be as follows: one member shall be appointed for two years, and
one member for four years.
(d) The Superintendent of Public Instruction.
(e) The Director of the Postsecondary Education Commission.
All initial appointments shall be made on or before March 1, 1976,
and all subsequent vacancies shall be filled within 30 days of their
occurrence by the authority which made the original appointment to
the vacant position.
At no time shall more than six members of the commission be
affiliated with the same political party.
