The State Registrar and local registrars shall keep a true
and correct account of all fees received by them.
(a) The moneys collected by the State Registrar shall be
deposited with the Treasurer for credit to the Health Statistics
Special Fund, except for the Children's Trust Fund fees collected
pursuant to Section 18966 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, the
Umbilical Cord Blood Collection Program Fund fees collected pursuant
to Section 103625, and the fees allocated to the Judicial Council
pursuant to Section 1852 of the Family Code, all of which shall be
deposited in the General Fund.
(b) This section shall remain in effect only until January 1,
2018, and as of that date is repealed, unless a later enacted
statute, that is enacted before January 1, 2018, deletes or extends
that date.
(a) The moneys collected by the State Registrar shall be
deposited with the Treasurer for credit to the Health Statistics
Special Fund, except for the Children's Trust Fund fees collected
pursuant to Section 18966 of the Welfare and Institutions Code and
the fees allocated to the Judicial Council pursuant to Section 1852
of the Family Code, all of which shall be deposited in the General
Fund.
(b) This section shall become operative on January 1, 2018.
The money collected by the local registrar shall be paid by
him or her into the county or city treasury.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no fees other
than those provided for in this part shall be charged for the
registration of births and deaths or for the issuance of any permits
for disposition of human remains.
