Chapter 1. Title Of Act And Policy of California Public Utilities Code >> Division 10. >> Part 15. >> Chapter 1.

This part shall be known and may be cited as the "San Mateo County Transit District Act."

It is necessary that a transit district be established in the County of San Mateo in order to meet the public transit problems of that county. Because there is no general law under which such a district could be formed, the adoption of a special act and the formation of a special district is required.
