Article 9. Reissuance Of Bonds, Notes, Coupon Or Other Evidence Of Indebtedness, Lost, Destroyed, Defaced Or Mutilated of California Public Utilities Code >> Division 10. >> Part 2. >> Chapter 8. >> Article 9.
If lost or completely destroyed, any bond, note, coupon, or
other evidence of indebtedness may be reissued in the form and tenor
of the lost or destroyed bond, note, coupon, or other evidence of
indebtedness, upon the owner furnishing all of the following to the
satisfaction of the district:
(a) Proof of ownership.
(b) Proof of loss or destruction.
(c) An undertaking to indemnify the district against any loss
incurred on account of the bond, note, coupon, or other evidence of
indebtedness.
(d) Payment of the cost of preparing and issuing the new bond,
note, coupon, or other evidence of indebtedness.
If defaced, mutilated, or partially destroyed, any bond,
note, coupon, or other evidence of indebtedness may be reissued in
the form and tenor of the defaced or partially destroyed bond, note,
coupon, or other evidence of indebtedness, to the bearer, or if
registered, to the registered holder, at his expense, on surrender of
the defaced or partially destroyed bond, note, coupon, or other
evidence of indebtedness, and on such other conditions as the
resolution authorizing the reissuance may provide.
