Upon the completion or other termination of the projects for
which the district is organized and upon the payment and retirement
of all outstanding bonds and obligations of the district, the
district shall be wound up and dissolved. The secretary shall or any
member of the board of directors may call a meeting for the
dissolution of the district. If a meeting for dissolution is not
called the board of supervisors of any county within the district may
demand the calling of such meeting and the dissolution of the
district. Notice of such meeting shall be given to each member county
and contributing political subdivision and public corporation.
Any property or money belonging to the district at the time
of dissolution shall be distributed by the board of directors to the
State and the several counties, cities, other political subdivisions
and public corporations in the proportions in which they have
respectively contributed to the expense and operation of the
district. Upon such distribution the board of directors shall adopt a
resolution certifying such distribution and the dissolution of the
district. Upon the filing of a copy of said resolution with the
Secretary of State, the district shall be finally terminated and
dissolved.
