. Any property or money belonging to the district at the time of dissolution shall be distributed by the board of directors to the State and the several counties, cities, other political subdivisions and public corporations in the proportions in which they have respectively contributed to the expense and operation of the district. Upon such distribution the board of directors shall adopt a resolution certifying such distribution and the dissolution of the district. Upon the filing of a copy of said resolution with the Secretary of State, the district shall be finally terminated and dissolved.
