. A board may consolidate any two or more of the offices of assessor, collector, and treasurer. The board may consolidate any two or more of the positions of secretary, engineer, manager, assistant engineer or assistant manager, and may combine any one or more of these positions with the offices of assessor, collector or treasurer.
