The provisions of this article shall apply only to the
Pleasant Valley County Water District, heretofore formed in Pleasant
Valley, Ventura County, and the Kings County Water District,
heretofore formed in Kings County.
All ballots printed shall be precisely on the same size,
quality, tint of paper, kind of type, and color of ink so that
without the number it would be impossible to distinguish one ballot
from another.
The names of all candidates printed upon the ballot shall be
in type of the same size and style.
A column may be provided on the right-hand side for
questions permitted by this division to be voted upon at water
district elections.
The order of candidates names on the ballot shall be as
provided by the Elections Code.
The county elections official shall cause the ballots to be
printed, bound, and numbered as provided in the Elections Code,
except as otherwise required in this division.
The ballots shall contain the list of names and the
respective offices as published in the proclamation and shall be in
substantially the following form:
GENERAL (OR SPECIAL) WATER DISTRICT ELECTION, ____ COUNTY WATER
DISTRICT
(Inserting date thereof).
Instructions to Voters: To vote, stamp or write a cross (+)
opposite the name of the candidate for whom you desire to vote. All
marks otherwise made are forbidden. All distinguishing marks are
forbidden and make the ballot void. If you wrongly mark, tear, or
deface this ballot, return it to the inspector of elections and
obtain another.
The ballot shall contain the following instruction: "For
director vote for (giving number)."
A half-inch square shall be provided at the right of the
name of each candidate wherein to mark the cross.
Half-inch spaces shall be left below the printed names of
candidates for each office, equal in number to the number of offices
to be filled, wherein the voter may write the name of any person for
whom he wishes to vote.
