. The maintenance fund, except as provided in Section 51547, shall be disbursed only upon warrants of the board drawn in payment of the cost or expense of maintenance, repair and operation of the district reclamation works, incidental expenses as defined in Section 51336 and for the construction of reclamation works supplemental to, or in replacement of, the reclamation works already possessed by the district.
