Article 5. Warrants Drawn On Irrigation Fund of California Water Code >> Division 15. >> Part 9. >> Chapter 1. >> Article 5.
A warrant drawn on the irrigation fund shall designate that
it shall be paid therefrom, and is not required to be approved by the
board of supervisors nor be in the form prescribed by Article 2 of
this chapter.
A warrant drawn on the irrigation fund shall be presented
for payment to the county treasurer.
If there is insufficient money in the irrigation fund to pay
a warrant when presented, endorsement of that fact shall be made
thereon by the county treasurer, who shall register it separately
from other warrants of the district, and it shall thereafter bear
interest from date of registration at the rate of 8 percent per year
until paid.
All the provisions of Article 2 of this chapter and Chapter
2, Article 2 of this part relating to the payment or renewal of
warrants apply to a warrant drawn on the irrigation fund.
