Unless the context otherwise requires, the provisions of this chapter shall govern the construction of this division.

The definition of a word applies to any of its variants.

55012.

"District" means any county irrigation district or county waterworks district formed pursuant to the County Waterworks District Act or any county waterworks district formed pursuant to this division.

55013.

"Board" means the governing body of a district.

55014.

"County" means the county within which the district or proposed district is located.
